Myrrha is the name of Chinese medicine. It is the dry resin of Commiphora myrrha Engl. or Hardidin tree Commiphora molmol Engl. in the olive family. Divided into natural myrrh and colloidal myrrh.
Distributed in Somalia, Ethiopia, and southern Arabian Peninsula, and other places. It has the effects of dissipating blood stasis and relieving pain, reducing swelling, and promoting granulation. It is commonly used in the treatment of chest obstruction and heartache, epigastric pain, dysmenorrhea, postpartum stasis, abdominal pain, rheumatic arthralgia, bruises, carbuncles, sores, and other diseases.
