It is also an antioxidant and an inhibitor of the tumor promoting activity of phorbol esters.Chlorogenic acid, at concentrations as high as 100 μM, does not inhibit the 5-lipoxygenase activity of ionophore-stimulated human polymorphonuclear leukocytes.
